What will I be doing?:


As a Trainee Accounts Assistant you'll work closely with the Accountant and Accounts Assistants within your dealership to learn tasks on the job.

Here is what a typical working week could look like:

  • Support the finance function by providing and processing data to assist the Accountant meet company reporting targets and deadlines.
  • Ensure relevant systems and files are set up and maintained accurately.
  • Assist with Credit Control
  • Raise relevant internal paperwork (cheques requisitions, bank reconciliations) ensuring accuracy at all times.
  • Maintain safe working practices and ensure compliance with the policies, processes and standards of the Centre.
  • To ensure that all customer contact is dealt with in a professional manner.
  • Ensure all queries are handled promptly and accurately.
  • Purchase Ledger Administration
  • Provide accurate and timely information to assist in the preparation of monthly and annual accounts.

A bit more about the family:

Founded in 2003 by Michael Smyth and his three sons, David, Peter and John, Swansway has grown from five motor dealerships in Cheshire and the West Midlands to the 20 dealerships we have today.

From Birmingham in the South to Carlisle in the North we partner with eleven brands including; Audi, Volkswagen, Land Rover, Honda and many more.

All this is supported by our Head Office in Crewe.
