Role Overview:
To ensure that all operations are conducted correctly, cost-effectively, and timely in alignment with product specifications and quality requirements, the Manufacturing Manager will implement operational management systems, processes, and best practices that guarantee both individual and organisational well-being. This role involves coordinating various production activities, maintaining high-quality standards, and managing resources efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team with a strong emphasis on people development, leveraging excellent communication skills, delegation proficiency, and the ability to inspire.
  • Drive cultural shifts and manage through transitions, fostering a positive, safety-first workplace culture
  • Ensure production departments have sufficient capacity to meet demand and deliver on time.
  • Monitor production KPIs to achieve on-time delivery targets and quality standards.
  • Liaise with the engineering team to maintain and repair plant equipment.
  • Ensure production and quality processes are conducive to producing high-quality products.
  • Organise and coordinate inventory management activities.
  • Develop and implement operational improvements to reduce non-value-added activities, minimise costs, and increase throughput.

Skills Required:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to build relationships internally and externally.
  • Adequate knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Experience in budget development and oversight.
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting, and metrics.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Outlook.
