Our client is looking for several experianced Fork Lift Driver who are seeking a great Temp to Perm opportunities across the country
The perfect candidate for a Reach Truck Driver will have experience working within a warehouse environment, who are looking to build an ongoing career with a reputable company for the foreseeable future, training is provided from day 1 to ensure you can integrate into the environment. We do accept Reach Truck Driverthat previous in-house certificates as an assessment will be required.
The warehouse has a very warm feel, and you can sense the togetherness of the whole team whilst working there. support is available whenever needed from management, making this a great place to work, where all colleagues are working with a collaborative approach to achieve the same goal.
Rotating Shifts
Monday to Friday
Days 6;00am to 16:00pm
Nights 16:00pm - 04:00am
10 hour shifts
Pay
£15.00 p/h
Key Duties and Accountabilities (will include but not be limited to)
- EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Must have Proof Of License
- Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including vans and flatbed trucks, to transport goods and materials to designated location
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays
- Ensure the application of the business "key standards" are maintained
- Ensure productivity targets are met
- Assist with stock counts and movements
- Assist as required within all operational work areas
- Ensure the warehouse and loading areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times to comply with Company
- Policy and Health & Safety Regulations
- General Housekeeping including sweeping/cleaning up the warehouse
- Promote excellent working standards complying with the company BRCGS guidelines
- Undertake any other tasks as directed by a member of the management team.
Key Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Reach Truck Driver preferably in a commercial or warehouse setting - you will be required to be assessed
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and basic vehicle maintenance
- Familiarity with various types of vehicles, such as vans and flatbed trucks
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation systems
- Basic understanding of Maths and English
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative working in a busy environment
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team to deliver results
