Nursery Nurse / Nursery Practitioner

Portishead, Bristol

40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

£24,000 pa plus bonus

The Company:


My client is one of the leading nurseries in Bristol, they cater for circa 89 children from babies up to 5 years.

The Nursery has a capacity for more than 89 children and outdoor space, with an in-house training provider.

The Role:

I am looking for both full-time and part-time
Qualified Nursery Practitioners who are seeking an inspiring new challenge. I have some great opportunities available in the busy Nurseries with a significant

Essential Requirements:

  • Hold an NVQ in childcare or equivalent
  • At least 1 year's experience in a childcare setting.
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • You will have a great understanding of the EYFS and a passion and enthusiasm for childcare.
  • You will have great communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
  • Good timekeeping, organisation, and be reliable.

Responsibilities:

  • You will develop and maintain positive relationships with children and families
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of a wide range of activities to meet children's needs;
  • Working within the EYFS and promote high standards of care for the children.
  • Helping maintain a childcentred environment; and use observation and reflective practice to contribute to planning and evaluation in the setting.
  • You will assume responsibility for key children and ensure their developmental needs are met, accurately recorded, and learning diaries are up to date
  • You will have passion and enthusiasm for safeguarding children and delivering high standards of care.
