Our teachers count on teaching assistants to bring their best to the classroom every day. We're searching for a teaching assistant to join us in delivering the high-quality education we're known for. The ideal candidate will have experience with student (or child) development, supervision, and education.
This person will help prepare lesson plans on a regular basis, ensuring that student's needs and concerns are met. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a positive, patient attitude are essential in this role.

As well as working within the classroom they will be working 1:1 with students with mild SEND.Objectives of this roleSupport teacher in executing lesson plans, and provide individual attention to students during group sessionsCultivate a positive, organised learning atmosphere by maintaining a classroom that is clean, engaging, and developmentally appropriateAdhere to school rules and standards, ensuring that all activities, services, and programs are sensitive to, and respectful of, cultural and ethnic diversitySupervise the safety of students in and out of the classroom, following guidelines and implementing school standards under the direction of teacherResponsibilitiesAssist teacher in organising the learning environment, preparing materials, maintaining resources, and grading tests and homeworkVerify and track student attendance, observe student performance, contribute to progress reports, and maintain records as requiredLead small-group instruction and discussion, and provide support to students who have difficulty with communication, interaction, cognition, and learning, as well as other behavioral, emotional, and developmental issuesPerform clerical duties such as typing, filing, setting up equipment, and photocopyingParticipate in meetings and events, and use communication channels effectively to support the education teamRequired skills and qualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentProven success in working with studentsHighly effective verbal, written, and visual communication skillsUnderstanding of basic principles of child developmentAbility to interact comfortably with children, parents, guardians, and staffAbility to be flexible and adjust to changes in a dynamic environmentEmpowering Learning Ltd is a committed Equal Opportunities Employer and therefore will not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, race, ethnicity, disability or sexual orientation.
