The UK's leading supplier of systems dedicated to the subcutaneous administration of drugs for a variety of clinical purposes.

Salary:
£20.00 per hour depending on experience. 3 Month initial contract and Mileage allowance.

So, what will you be doing as an Area Sales Representative?

  • You will be providing exceptional service to new and existing customers: Hospital based clinicians (NHS and private sectors) and NHS Community Nursing Teams looking to purchase or prescribe medical devices from us, helping to meet their medical device requirements as well as dealing with queries from existing customers to ensure we're meeting their expectations.
  • Supporting NHS Patient Demonstration Clinics and Healthcare Companies.
  • You will also be involved in finding and bringing new business leads to fruition and managing existing accounts as well as providing fantastic customer support at all times.
  • With targets to meet and you will be trained to manage a variety of accounts across the customer lifecycle, from sales, customer service and renewals.
  • Use your excellent service skills to ensure that every customer is treated in a refreshingly straightforward way.
  • Arrange appointments with doctors, nurses, homecare companies, pharmacists and hospital medical teams, which may include prearranged appointments or calling to arrange meetings.
  • Organise training/conferences for doctors and other medical staff
  • Manage budgets for conferences
  • Keep detailed records of all contacts
  • Win new customers, as well as develop longterm relationships with existing ones
  • Meet and, if possible, exceed sales targets, regularly monitoring your business plans to make sure you achieve this
  • Plan work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables with the sales team or discuss future targets with the Managers
  • Regularly attend company meetings, technical data presentations and briefings
  • Keep up to date with the latest clinical data supplied by the company, and interpret, present and discuss this data with health professionals during presentations
  • Analyse sales data to improve results and make sure resources are effectively allocated
  • Monitor competitor activity and competitors' products
  • Keep up to date with new developments in the NHS, anticipate potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapt strategy accordingly
  • Develop strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the medical and healthcare sector
  • Stay informed about the activities of health services in a particular area.

  • Are motivated to achieve positive results and reach targets
  • Enjoy seeing that our product provision will make a substantial difference to patients' quality of life
  • Will have a biomedical / life sciences or Sports science undergraduate / postgraduate degree.
  • Show a particular interest in working with devices
  • Must demonstrate a propensity to be interested in and sensitive to the care of NHS patients.
  • Have a proven sales record.
  • Be colourful, charismatic with excellent time management and presentation skills.

What you'll get in return:

  • We offer a competitive starting contract from £23,000 up to £35,000 with experience which will increase as you develop and progress within the role though time
