As a Cash Carrying Crew member, you will undertake the truly valuable role of providing a high value delivery and collection service, across our corporate and retail functions.


Supported by our network of depots and vehicles:

Post Office's Cash and Valuables in Transit division (CViT) process cash, coin, and high value items 24 hours a day.


Working from a secure location either independently or as part of a team, this role offers you the exciting opportunity to be the face of the Post Office.

Interacting with customers from both Post Office and external organisations.

What you'll need to succeed:

You will be an experienced driver with a valid UK driving licence.

As a Cash Carrying Crew member, you will have a full understanding of road traffic regulations and remaining legal and compliant when on the road, including proper use of a digital tachograph.

As a Cash Carrying Crew member, you will have:

  • Demonstrate proven experience working in multi-drop delivery driving experience, including working alone on the road for significant time
  • Firstclass communication skills with the ability to be collaborative, adaptive to new processes and ways of working quickly and as required.
  • Valid UK drivers' licence, C1 licence would be beneficial
  • A valid SIA licence is required to operate as a CVIT Crewmember.
  • NOCN Functional Skills Level 1 (equivalent to GCSE grade D (level 3 pass). Applicants who are unable to provide evidence of a Qualification in English will be required to pass an NOCN approved written assessment to be carried out during the recruitment process.
