With offices in Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Bristol, and Cambridgeshire, we have a strong record in tackling transport planning challenges, leading to the establishment of a satellite office in Bristol to cater to clients in the south-west region.

We are seeking a motivated Principal/Associate Transport Planner to join our Bristol team, contributing to the growth and success of this office, supported by our experienced staff and wider Transport Planning Team.

You will work alongside a dedicated team of Transport Planners and Engineers on diverse projects.

The ideal candidate will excel both independently and as part of a team, leveraging this role to drive the evolution of the Bristol office with support from the Management Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site appraisals, feasibility studies, and pre-application advice
  • Prepare Transport Assessments, Statements, and Travel Plans
  • Manage traffic modeling and junction capacity assessments
  • Liaise with clients, project team, and local authorities
  • Handle fee proposals, invoices, and project finances
  • Attend meetings and represent Glanville professionally
  • Lead/manage projects and finances effectively
  • Promote Glanville's image
  • Minimum degree qualification
  • Strong project management and client interaction skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated and experienced in Transport Assessments
  • Proficient in traffic modeling and network modeling software
  • Experience in residential development through Local Plan process
  • Experience in Planning Appeals and Public Enquiries
  • Chartered in relevant discipline
  • Familiarity with highway design and Road Safety Audits
  • Ability to nurture client relationships and expand the business
