Credit Controller/accounts Assistant

Credit Controller

  • Chasing and prechasing all outstanding invoices, highlighting any payment issues to the appropriate Sales and Management Team.
  • Prepare aged debtor reporting and provide insightful commentary when presenting this data to management.
  • Allocating bank receipts & credit notes promptly to ensure the accuracy of customer accounts.
  • Banking Cheques received at our local branch.
  • Query resolution of customer disputes, ensuring these are investigated and processed swiftly.
  • Managing all new and existing customer set up, including credit checks, and monitoring credit alerts. Reviewing customer's credit limits & approving or denying changes.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Maintaining an excellent relationship with our Customers and Suppliers.
  • Ensuring Supplier Invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.
  • Processing weekly BACS/CHAPS Payments.
  • High volume invoice and credit note processing.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Provide a reliable, accurate and timely service in response to all customer and Supplier enquiries.
  • Proven working experience in accounts payable and credit control roles.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Microsoft Office skills specifically Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Experience with using Sage accounting software is desirable.

Hourly rate of pay £13.00 per hour

9-00am till 5-00pm
