Ward 124 is a 32 Bed Renal Ward where Haemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis is undertaken for inpatients. The Ward accepts direct admissions from both our Satellite Units as well as emergency portals. There is also a procedure room on the ward where day case activity is delivered

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a strong clinical leader, with excellent managerial skills who can demonstrate expertise within the specialty. The successful candidate should hold strong leadership qualities to ensure safe quality care is provided to our patient group, is able to maintain and improve staff morale and team working and is able to encourage a positive learning environment within the satellite team.

The position is being offered on a full time basis, 37.5 hrs per week

The Renal Department includes, a Renal Ward, Transplant Service, CKD Team, Research Team, a Home Therapy Department, 1 Satellite Unit at County and a Fresenius Satellite Unit at Leighton Hospital Crewe.

The team is cohesive and professional with a genuine interest and passion for providing a high standard of dialysis care. Person specification Experience
  • Has 3 years experience as a registered nurse in an acute hospital setting
  • Evidence of 2 years Renal Nursing.
  • Degree Level Education (healthcare related)
Skills and Knoewledge
  • Able to recount/discuss the requirements for high standard of care
