Deputy Shift Supervisor – Electrical - International Banking Premises

To maintain the building and all equipment and systems in prime condition utilising traditional maintenance methods, predictive maintenance techniques and building analytics.


All equipment within maintenance contract is be maintained at optimum working efficiency and to respond effectively to all defects and engineering requests.


Key Tasks:


Maintaining and keeping the buildings mechanical & electrical systems.nRoutine tests, checks and record keeping for all the buildings systems through traditional methods and use of building analytics and predictive maintenance techniques.nUndertake regular walk-rounds of Customer areas and plant rooms to note and rectify any defects and to maintain in a clean, tidy and safe environment.nLiaise and arrange sub-contractor support and effectively manage and control all sub-contractors.nProvide innovative solutions to improve building, plant and system energy efficiency.nManage, rectify and record defects through the Customer reporting system, working with and leading a 2 man shift team.nEngagement and updating Customer stakeholders on all issues and progress.nThey must be flexible in their attitude to work from both a skills diversification and a willingness to work overtimenManage defects to completion; including full investigation, sourcing materials, provision of quotes, raising of purchase orders and arrangement of rectification.

SkillsnGood technical skills.nTechnically qualified as an Engineer.

(City & Guilds etc).nC&G 236 parts 1 and 2 as a minimum if electrically biased.nHV Qualified or previous experience – desirable / training provided.nMust be able to communicate in an articulate manner both verbally and electronically.nGood interpersonal and communication skills.


KnowledgenTechnical, professional, administrative or good technical knowledge of building services systems and plant.nKnowledge of advanced BMS systems, predictive maintenance and building analytics.nKnowledge and understanding of critical services.nExperience with condition-based and predictive maintenance tools and techniques.

ExperiencenCritical environment experience:
financial/insurance/investment/Banking/technology/manufacturing/data centre experience required.nWorking in similar business critical environment. (desirable)
