The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Hillside Day Nursery to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.

Our Potterswood site operates from a bungalow set in peaceful woodland on the grounds of John Cabot Academy. We are lucky to have our own private woodland area adjoining the nursery which both sites use for our Forest School sessions. Our nursery provides a homely setting, where children can thrive and develop in a warm and nurturing environment.

The environment Hillside has been carefully developed and is seen as the third teacher after the Children and Practitioners and is set out with thought and consideration, it naturally invites children to actively engage and supports children's holistic learning and development which in turn gives children the confidence to explore and learn in secure, safe, yet challenging indoor and outdoor spaces.

As a Nursery Practitioner at our independent nursery, you will be responsible for;

Delivering a high standard of care and education in early years Assisting and supporting key members of the team in delivering a high standard of care and education in early years Undertaking all aspects of personal care including feeding, food and snack preparation, nappy changing/ toileting

Requirements;

Level 2 Qualification in Childcare is essential when applying for this role You must be able to gain a clear DBS Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent Have a passion for working with children Experience working in a childcare environment

Qualities Required;

We are looking for someone with a passion for nurturing and educating young children, who will work towards a level 2 childcare apprenticeship The ideal candidate must be kind, caring, and able to ignite curiosity, awe, and wonder in our children

Hours;

Hillside Day Nursery offer a day nursery provision running from 07:30-18:00 on an all year round basis The successful candidate would be expected to work between 30-40 hours per week with various shift patterns to be discussed
