This high achieving, inclusive Secondary School in Barnet is seeking a highly organised and professional individual to join our team as a School Administrator.

This is a key administrative role where you will provide efficient and effective support to the school, ensuring excellent customer care and adherence to school policies and values.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors and parents, providing daytoday administrative support, including clerical processes, word processing, and data inputting
  • Greet, register, and assist visitors in a welcoming manner, promoting the school's ethos, values, and policies while ensuring safeguarding requirements are met
  • Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and efficiently, ensuring messages are taken and dealt with appropriately
  • Respond helpfully and sensitively to pupils and parents as required
  • Monitor and distribute incoming post and electronic mail throughout the day
  • Manage outgoing post and assist with the distribution of letters and information using online parent communication systems
  • Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area and office space, keeping notices and parent forms up to date.
  • Update the school's noticeboards weekly with upcoming events
  • Manage manual and computerised records, including the school's management information system (SIMS)
  • Support the School Business Manager and Principal with additional administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Flexibility to carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by the line manager
  • Familiarity with school administrative processes and systems (SIMS) is desirable
This is a term-time position with one additional week, totalling 36 hours per week. The salary for this role is offered at £ £14 per hour, commensurate with experience.
