About Us: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Midday Supervisor to join our team, ensuring a safe and enjoyable lunchtime experience for our students.
Hours- 7.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise children during lunchtime in the dining hall, playground, and other areas of the school.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Support children with SEN in social interactions and encourage inclusive play.
- Assist with feeding, toileting, and other personal care needs as required.
- Promote positive behaviour and manage any challenges in line with the school's behaviour policy.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to provide a consistent approach to student supervision.
- Monitor and report any safeguarding concerns to the appropriate staff member.
Requirements:
- Experience working with SEN children is essential.
- A current DBS check on the update service is mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with patience and empathy.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for working with children.
