We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a team managing projects for the Ministry of Defence. In this role, you will be involved in diverse projects ranging in value up to £10m within Construction and Facilities Management.
You will handle projects ranging from £250k to £10m, including refurbishments, alterations, and new constructions. Working in a large commercial team, you will oversee finances across multiple sites.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in estimating costs, quantities, and project timelines. You will provide valuable business support to the Projects Team by managing project costs and risks effectively.
This will involve tasks such as procuring sub-contractors, valuations, cost reporting, and offering cost advice and support to the Billable Works Team.
Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in construction or Commercial Property Maintenance
  • HND/Foundation Degree in a construction-related field
  • Experience in creating cost models, conducting risk analysis and management, preparing proposals and tenders, and resolving disputes
  • Proficiency in IT, especially in Excel
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, along with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels
  • Due to vetting requirements, applications are open only to British Nationals eligible for SC Clearance
