A leading provider of bespoke mission-based aviation solutions for Government and Commercial customers is seeking a dedicated Unlicensed Station Engineer / Aircraft Mechanic.

This full-time, permanent position offers a fantastic work-life balance, operating primarily from Oban and/or Stornoway to support BN2 Islander aircraft on lifeline flight services along Scotland's scenic west coast.


Key Responsibilities:

nAssemble, disassemble, and modify systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aircraft components to correct failures or implement changes.nTroubleshoot complex aircraft systems to isolate mechanical/avionic faults and repair faulty components according to authorized maintenance documents.nOccasionally travel to other bases, particularly Shetland and Inverness, to support engineering teams and assist in aircraft recovery across the network.


Ideal Candidate:

nKnowledgeable in aircraft maintenance, modification, and repair.nFamiliar with general aircraft maintenance and environmental processes (FOD control, tool control, Health & Safety, and COSHH).nStrong commitment to safety and understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS).nSkilled aircraft Mechanical/Avionics Technician working towards a UK CAA License.nExperience in aircraft maintenance from military and/or commercial aerospace environments.


Requirements:

nRecent aircraft maintenance experience in a line or base environment.nProficient in Microsoft Office.nWorking experience with aircraft maintenance software, ideally "Blue Eye."nClean, full driving license.nLegal right to live and work in the UK.nAbility to provide a criminal record check (Disclosure Scotland).
