Responsibilities:

  • Support senior quantity surveyors in preparing estimates, budgets, and tender documents
  • Analyze construction drawings and specifications to find potential cost-saving opportunities
  • Measure materials, labor, and resources needed for projects
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost information
  • Visit sites regularly to monitor progress and update cost forecasts
  • Aid in preparing valuations and final accounts for clients and subcontractors
  • Manage cost control systems, tracking variations, fluctuations, and delays

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or a related field
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX)
  • Understanding of construction contracts, specifications, and methods
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
