Edgeview Homes is a leading care provider in the West Midlands, Staffordshire and Worcestershire. We are a growing modern care business and we need likeminded individuals to join our excellent team.
We have an exciting opportunity for the role of a Finance Assistant to support the Central Support team by undertaking financial duties as well as other generalist administration duties as instructed by the Finance Manager.
The hours of work will be 40.00 hours per week, working 8 am to 4pm over 5 days Monday to Friday which can vary at times depending on the business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Purchasing requirements for the Company and liaising with relevant suppliers.
- Inputting purchase invoices onto Sage 50 Accounts with mínimal mistakes or discrepancies.
- Preparing the monthly Aged Creditors run ensuring that suppliers are paid within a timely manner and in accordance with payment terms.
- Auditing and maintaining Petty Cash payments, inputting onto Sage Accounts and resolving any issues.
- Purchasing requirements for clients and liaising with relevant suppliers.
- Auditing and maintaining clients' money sheets and resolving any issues.
- Liaising with different homes to establish / prepare client personal money requirements and organise any related paperwork.
- Input client resident account transactions onto CareMaster and reconciles CareMaster data with manual or other records.
- Ensure that month end / quarter end / year end accounts are closed off within a reasonable time period.
- Support for payroll as and when required.
- General office operations, including filing and distribution of any relevant documentation.
- Complete any ad hoc financial information requests from the Finance Manager, HR or Operations Teams.
- Answering phone calls and handling requests in a professional manner
- Post holder may also be required to undertake any other duties reasonably required.
Person Specifics:
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Maintain all aspects of confidentiality with the service at all times.
- Ensuring all financial records are securely stored and viewed in line with Data Protection legislation.
- Undertake any training as appropriate.
- Participate in Staff Appraisal Scheme.
- Present a positive image to neighbours and the general public.
