About Our Client:

A leading and expanding Housing Association are in need of a Healthy Homes Officer to join their team permanently.

  • The key responsibilities:
  • Visit all allocated properties at least once a year to assess current living conditions within property, communal areas and gardens.
  • Plan and schedule visits at the convenience of the residents, wherever possible in collaboration with residents. Keep cold calls to a minimum.
  • Complete the Healthy Homes Visit template for every visit and at the home of the resident during the visit
  • Record all findings on the system, including uploading the Healthy Homes template for each visit.
  • Where living conditions are deemed uninhabitable, take immediate action to bring the living conditions back to a habitable condition, including decanting residents if needed, raising emergency repairs where required and involving all necessary support organisations (in liaison with colleagues from other appropriate teams)
  • Report all remedial works to the appropriate team, including general repairs via the repairs customer service officers and any potential planned works through the asset management team.
  • Own, follow up and where necessary chase outstanding remedial works. Where the property has been deemed uninhabitable, liaise closely with the 'lead' officer overseeing a subsequent decant.
  • Assist the Estate Services Manager in planning, scheduling and improving the approach to achieving Healthy Homes for all.
  • Report any concerns you have about the wellbeing, physical health and mental health of the resident you have visited to the appropriate team e.g. Neighbourhood Team, Asset Management Team etc
