Role Responsibility

  • Lead a team of Yard, Weigh Bridge & Raw Material operators, reporting to the Senior Site Manager
  • Coach and manage direct reports to uphold core behavioral competencies and a culture aligned with the Tarmac Way
  • Oversee trucking fleet operations across the site and actively engage in site tasks
  • Ensure a safe working environment by demonstrating exemplary Health and Safety practices
  • Collaborate with the production team for weekly Yard planning
  • Contribute to special site projects and maintain high standards of quality and safety
  • Conduct general housekeeping and deliver toolbox talks to the team

The Ideal Candidate

The perfect candidate for the Yard Manager role will have prior experience in industrial or factory environments. Good communication skills and a drive to enhance operational and supervisory capabilities are essential.

Specific Requirements:

  • HSE / IOSH Managing Safely knowledge
  • Past experience in Yard Team Leading
  • Basic SAP user proficiency (advantageous)
  • Understanding of the aggregate industry
  • Experience with unionized personnel
  • Licenses for mobile plant operations are advantageous
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Excel, & Word
