We are looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team

As a Site Reliability Engineer, your main responsibility will be to help create, implement, and maintain our infrastructure to guarantee its reliability, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and robust infrastructure using infrastructure as code principles and tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Collaborate with development teams to incorporate infrastructure needs into software design and deployment processes, to encourage a DevOps mindset.
  • Set up and oversee CI/CD pipelines for automating software delivery and deployment processes, ensuring quick and reliable releases.
  • Make use of cloud-native services, especially AWS, to enhance the performance and security of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance, health, and availability through monitoring tools, taking a proactive approach to detect and resolve issues.
  • Work with different teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure problems, minimizing downtimes and enhancing system reliability.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members in SRE practices and principles to help in their growth and development.

Experience Required:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Ruby, Python, or Go for automation and tooling.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/S.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, and services like EC2, S3, and IAM.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile setting with strong communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Understanding of serverless architectures and managed services provided by cloud vendors.
  • Familiarity with log management and analysis tools like ELK Stack or Splunk.
  • Experience with both relational and NoSQL database technologies.

Relevant Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Experience working internationally with diverse cultures.
