Company Profile:
Our company, a specialist manufacturer of products utilizing injection moulding techniques, is part of a larger group of companies. We are currently seeking a skilled Injection Moulding Setter to join our team due to our expanding customer base, order book, and ongoing reinvestment efforts into the organization.

Job Profile:
As a successful Injection Mould Setter, you will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art, well-structured, warm, and friendly environment alongside a team of experienced Injection Mould Setters.

Duties:
  • Carry out tool changes and set machine processes following best practices and health and safety procedures.
  • Support trials of new tools to achieve optimal performance.
  • Train operators in start-up, shut down, and problem analysis procedures.
  • Manage Production Efficiencies:
    • Provide hands-on process support.
    • Ensure efficient tool changes.
    • Minimize machine downtime.
    • Optimize setting conditions.
    • Minimize scrap and material wastage.
    • Complete all necessary production recording documents.
  • Quality Control:
    • Obtain approval samples for first and last off.
    • Maintain quality throughout production runs.
    • Identify and categorize production deficiencies in collaboration with the Manager and operators.
  • Machine and Tool Maintenance:
    • Responsible for the care and low-level maintenance of machines and tools within agreed limits.
    • Coordinate with appropriate support staff for advanced maintenance and repairs.
  • Control of Documents:
    • Create and manage master setting sheets.
    • Control and display production and quality instructions.
  • Health & Safety Procedures:
    • Ensure compliance with all procedures and regulations.
    • Report any incidents or concerns.

Qualifications / Experience:
  • Prior experience in an injection moulding environment.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and utilize measuring devices.
  • Capable of working in a high-pressure environment and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of health & safety protocols.

Hours of Work:
40 hours per week
2 Shift Pattern (6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm) – Monday to Friday
Overtime paid at 1.5x on weekdays and Saturdays, and 2x on Sundays and Bank Holidays)
