  • Shift based, 12-hour working day, working every other weekend, 7 days worked over 14 on a 2-week rota basis.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Bioresources Treatment Manager, as a Bioresources Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring Water Recycling treatment processes and systems are serviced and maintained effectively and efficiently, meeting regulatory standards such as H&S, HACCP, and Compliance.


Key duties:
  • Carrying out regulatory safety checks on boilers in line with current Health & Safety Executive Guidelines, and implementing agreed actions on Compliance Action Plans
  • Investigating problems, promoting corrective actions, maintaining equipment processes using basic mechanical skills, and monitoring contractors' performance carrying out remedial work on wastewater assets, while also conducting condition-based monitoring and reporting asset condition
  • Maintaining communication across the site team on all site operations and activities, inspecting safety equipment including legionella testing, gas, electricity, emergency lighting, and reporting any issues

  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Experience in an operational role
  • Previous experience in the sewerage environment is desirable
  • Strong communicator, able to liaise with various teams confidently
  • Proactive, flexible approach to site priorities
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and be flexible
  • Ability to use basic Microsoft packages including Outlook, Teams, etc., and database systems
  • Positive attitude and hands-on approach
  • Full UK driving license required
