The entry salary for this role is up to £25,000 with the potential for up to £29,000 once you have been approved as DQR both internally and externally.


Main Purpose of Job:


Responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product meets the required specification before moving to the next part of the process or being released to the customer.

Has the ability to respond to the needs of the business and embrace change. Heavily involved in Teamwork, Housekeeping, and Continuous Improvement.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:

  • Practice and enforce a high standard of Health and Safety at all times.
  • To carry out "DQR" (Delegated Quality Representative) and other Customer equivalent processes.
  • Create complex customer reports and to ensure that all the Customers' requirements for the certified release of the product have been completed and that all relevant documents are present and correct.
  • Support advance product quality planning (APQP) activities, including PFMEA, FAIR and PPAP.
  • Arrange for testing of components with internal and external laboratories
  • Ensure timely turn round of tests to meet customer requirements
  • Liaison with customer and 3rd party inspectors for approval of parts prior to shipment
  • Implement and maintain controls associated to test pieces after testing; including the archiving of returned test material.
  • Have the ability to move completed product onto the next process as necessary, and ensure product is stored in a safe manner.
  • Work to the companies documented management system e.g. Standard Operating Procedures
  • Methods of Manufacture.
  • Actively looking to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Computer literate with focus on Microsoft Office
  • Ideally have experience of test and release requirements for ISO9001 and AS9100
