Accounts Assistant - (Maternity cover)

Our central finance support function is based in Hull and we currently have a vacancy for a temporary Accounts Assistant to cover maternity leave within our Core finance team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Production of daily bank reconciliations in multi currencies
  • Cash allocation of bank receipts and payments
  • Match up incoming supplier invoices to purchase orders and submitting for approval
  • Process supplier invoices with 3way match (PO, Goods Receipt, Invoice)
  • Raise supplier payments
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Credit card processing and reconciliation
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Month end journal postings
  • Cost analysis

Competencies:

  • AAT Qualified (preferable)
  • Previous experience of purchase ledger and bank reconciliations (preferable)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of working in a large, fast paced business
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and complete work to a high standard under pressure
  • Effective organisational and time management skills
