London, Greater London, United Kingdom St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Job Summary

We are searching for an individual with the necessary skills to deliver top-notch administration to the busy, high-profile departments. If you thrive in a team environment, have a flexible approach, and maintain a professional attitude, we want to hear from you. It's important to note that this opportunity will close once a specific number of applications are received, so early applications are encouraged.

The primary objective of this role is to oversee diagnostic referrals and manage the scheduling/bookings of endobronchial ultrasounds (EBUS) from South-West London trusts.

Main Duties of the Job

The individual in this role will handle acquiring and verifying the quality of referrals to ensure all necessary information is included before clinical assessment. They will collaborate closely with clinical teams to ensure efficient triage and booking scheduling. This position is specifically tailored to support the newly implemented endobronchial booking service via South-West London trusts. As it's a newly established role, it will evolve over time and require adaptability. Responsibilities will encompass administrative and secretarial tasks, along with managing procedure scheduling and outpatient appointments. Working across various IT systems to coordinate patient appointments will be necessary. Managing a patient tracking list and overseeing patient waiting times to meet diagnostic breach targets are also key responsibilities. Prior experience in an NHS administrative role and familiarity with the Cerner Millennium system will be advantageous.
