Role Objectives

  • At Tameside Music Service, we are an inclusive and progressive team working throughout Tameside and Greater Manchester. We are committed to offering equitable and relevant musical opportunities to young people in our locality and region through our partnership with the Greater Manchester Music Hub and numerous other organisations such as Brighter Sound, Chetham's and BIMM.
  • We are currently recruiting to our casual pool of Music Tutors to deliver inspirational music sessions to individuals, small groups and whole classes of primary and secondary aged students. We are particularly interested in hearing from those with experience delivering small group and individual percussion and drum kit tuition both in and out of a standard education setting.

You will have:

  • Experience of teaching primary and secondary aged children as a class, in a small group and individually
  • The ability to monitor and assess pupil progress
  • Knowledge of different repertoire/portfolios for students at different stages of development
  • The ability to teach an additional instrument would be an advantage
  • If successful after interview an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring check will need to be completed
  • Driving licence and your own transport is preferred
