Job Summary:

Duties:

  • Operate sewing machines and other tools to repair, alter, and create garments
  • Measure and cut fabric according to patterns or customer requirements
  • Sew garments using various techniques such as hand stitching, overlocking, and hemming
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
  • Collaborate with designers and other team members to ensure garment specifications are met
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Seamstress or similar role
  • Proficient in using industrial sewing machines and tools
  • Knowledge of different fabrics, patterns, and garment construction techniques
  • Attention to detail and precision in work
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced retail environment
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members
