Are you an inspired undergraduate studying product or industrial design? Are you passionate about Design, UX and materials? If so, HMD is looking for you We have an internship within the Design Team in the Global Marketing Department based in London, available for someone to join us asap

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a vibrant and enthusiastic Designer with professional design skills, an ambitious mind, and the drive to continually push their learning to join HMD's growing design team

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Communicate clearly and often with your line manager and design team members regarding design support, upcoming deadlines and general idea sharing.
  • Research the competitive landscape specific to the brief and present findings and conclusions.
  • Brainstorm and ideate around the set briefs given to you by your line manager.
  • Narrow down ideas with your line manager to most compelling relevant solutions.
  • Build 3D data for rendering/animations.
  • Present research, ideas and product renders in PowerPoint presentation format for easy sharing and editing.
  • Champion other designers' good ideas and help build upon/refine them where possible.
  • Generally, support the creative culture of the design team.

  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills with an ability to take your own initiative.
  • Great communication skills.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
