An amazing opportunity to become part of the fantastic Staff Team in one of the biggest secondary schools in Bristol.

The Specialist Centre caters for a maximum of 45 students, all with an EHCP. These students exhibit a neuro-divergent profile and follow a mainstream curriculum with proven ASD strategies while also addressing their sensory and emotional needs. Their academic capabilities vary from Entry Level to higher level GCSE. Located on a mainstream site, students can attend mainstream classes as needed, but have dedicated classrooms and space where most students are taught in small groups by a teacher and Teaching Assistant.

Our students receive support from a highly qualified and dedicated team of experienced educators who collaborate closely with parents, ensuring exceptional learning outcomes. Teachers benefit from guidance from National Lead Practitioners within the OCL Trust, providing well-planned lessons focused on effective teaching strategies to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel.

We are currently looking for an outstanding Science Teacher to join our skilled team, someone who can nurture and guide these students effectively. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching Science and dedicated to helping every student reach their full potential.

If you're interested in joining our team at this exciting stage of Oasis Academy Brislington's journey, where our staff strive daily to make a positive impact on our students, we want to hear from you. Our students are caring, witty, and determined to succeed; for the right candidate, our Academy offers a highly fulfilling work environment. All new staff benefit from a top-notch coaching program tailored to support their professional growth effectively.

The Academy is located in an impressive £34.6 million PFI-funded building that opened in 2008. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, it provides a modern, technology-rich setting for teaching and learning, positioning it as one of the best-equipped schools in the country.

Oasis Academy Brislington is affiliated with the Oasis Community Learning family, a multi-academy sponsor committed to transforming schools into community hubs by adopting a comprehensive approach to education. As part of the Oasis network, staff have access to diverse and rewarding career prospects.

What we offer:

- An exceptional CPD program includes personalized Incremental Coaching every two weeks, weekly CPD sessions at the Academy and department level, and Trust-wide CPD sessions every term.

- A carefully structured, fully-resourced curriculum across the Trust, offering the flexibility to tailor it to your students' needs without starting from scratch.

- A centralized Culture for Learning policy that fosters effective teaching and learning, with strong support from a dedicated Pastoral and SEND team.

- A tailored feedback and assessment policy designed to minimize staff workload and maximize student progress.

- Opportunities to pursue fully-funded National Professional Qualifications and tap into the Apprenticeship Levy for further professional and academic qualifications.
