Electrical Construction Supervisor – Outside of IR35

Berkshire Talent Partnership are delighted to be working with one of the UK's fastest growing Independent Power Producers and Developers. The business builds, owns, and operates flexible energy infrastructure to help balance the grid, supporting the UK's transition to a low-carbon future. The business is seeking a electrical supervisor for a 1 year contract on an exciting energy storage project in Thurrock This role is to act as the Principal Contractors Electrical Supervisor and you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all electrical construction works to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time and on budget. You will work closely with the Project Manager and some of your key responsibilities are detailed below.

  • Health and Safety. Responsible for implementing and enforcing health and safety regulations related to electrical work.
  • Overseeing the electrical installation. To be the point of contact for electrical subcontractor site management and support the resolution of any matters arising on site.
  • Ensuring Compliance with relevant regulations, designs, specifications, and drawings.
  • Quality Control and Inspection.
  • Documentation and Reporting. Ensure contractors keep accurate records in line with the Inspection and Test Plan/site procedures and store them in the appropriate online shared folder.
  • Ensure that, where required, a Construction Phase Plan is prepared and complied with.
  • Conduct and record weekly site health and safety inspections.
  • Report all injuries and dangerous occurrences
  • Comply with the requirements of Group health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Ensure that only authorised personnel are put to work, keeping records of operative's qualifications, expiry dates and exclusions.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe site with good housekeeping and management of staff and contractors.
  • Ensure projects are being managed in accordance with the general and health and safety requirements of the Project Execution Plan
  • Contribute to project schedule development and close monitoring and control of the construction schedule.
  • Monitor the submission and approval of electrical design and specification information to be provided by the electrical contractors or sub-contractors or suppliers
