Project Manager - Street Lighting & Highways Electrical


Our client is a leading technological and manufacturing company, renowned for its innovative designs, manufacturing, and installation of street furniture, signage, smart city street furniture, and electronic digital signage.

This presents a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager to become part of our client's team located in Hayes, London.

This role is permanent, offering a salary ranging from £40-50k, based on expertise.

The incumbent will oversee the management and coordination of all on-street multi-site electrical tasks conducted by the client's electrical operatives.

These responsibilities encompass electrical testing, inspection & commissioning, condition reports, and responsive electrical repairs, executed across a diverse array of acclaimed street furniture assets across Greater London.


You will join a close-knit and supportive team, collaborating closely with various skilled office-based personnel and on-street electricians.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals with project management experience seeking career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervising a small team of highway electricians and electrical contractors.
  • Tracking productivity, performance, and competence.
  • Overseeing work adherence to program requirements to ensure timely completion.
  • Monitoring the fulfillment of electrical orders and assessing performance against KPIs.
  • Actively ensuring operational compliance of on-street electrical operations.
  • Offering guidance and assistance to highway electricians in daily tasks.
  • Understanding the electrical specifications of various asset types.
  • Adapting to address ad-hoc project needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in project management.
  • Prior exposure to street lighting or highway electrical projects (preferred).
  • Strong personal organizational abilities.
  • Level 3 Award in Electrical Inspection & Testing.
  • Proficiency with Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition).
  • Valid driving license.

  • Driven and responsible individual with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in various mediums.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
