IT Support Engineer

Our client based in Poole has an immediate requirement for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their small but very busy business systems team.

The main purpose of the role is to provide day to day IT support to Employees on-site and occasionally remotely.

The support Engineer will play an active role in a small team of professional engineers who support, maintain, fault find, upgrade and ensure faultsand support tickets are resolved effectively, ultimately ensuring changes and enhancements implemented professionally, with mínimal risk and mínimal service disruption.


Duties to include:

  • 1st line support for all IT queries.
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware/software faults.
  • Installing and configuring PCs, phone and printers.
  • Administering the telephony platform and call recording/reporting systems.
  • Windows Server maintenance and backup administration.
  • Training staff in the use of IT equipment and software.
This position requires the following key skills and attributes:

  • Previous experience in an IT support position and relevant qualifications.
  • Hardware fault diagnosis and repair.
  • Basic networking fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of relational database systems.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems.
  • A natural troubleshooter and problem solver.
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, and able to successfully multitask.
  • A quick learner with a logical mindset.

This is a full-time permanent position with an immediate start available, there is a starting salary of up to £26k dependent on experience plus a benefit package that includes free onsite parking, attractive working hours with an early Friday finish, 31 holidaydays per annum including Bank Holidays and Christmas Shutdown (increasing with length of service) and company pension above statutory minimum rewarded with length of service.
