Social Work Team Leader - Safeguarding (Richmond)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Team Leaders to join our Safeguarding Kingston and Richmond Teams. Your role will involve operational management and leadership support across the service in support of the Head of Safeguarding.

At AfC, we offer a hybrid way of working, and the Team Leader will be responsible for:

  • Casework supervision of Social Workers
  • Assisting in the overall management and development of the team
  • Undertaking child and family assessments
  • Carrying out child protection inquiries
  • Safety planning with children and families
  • Direct work with children and young people
  • Care proceedings and court work

Our manageable caseloads, supportive management structure, and flexible technology ensure good outcomes for children, young people, and families, maintaining a high-quality service.

About you

To be a Team Leader within the Safeguarding teams at Achieving for Children, you need to be passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. We are looking for someone with:

  • Good IT skills in Google Suite and Microsoft
  • Flexibility in work
