ACS Egham International School are recruiting a Library Teaching Assistant to manage the day to day running of the Lower School Library for our 4- to 11-year-old students.

The library collection consists of around 14,000 books including fiction, non-fiction, and foreign language sections.


At ACS Egham, we offer the IB - an aspirational, global, and modern curriculum that inspires children to become the drivers of their own success.

We've been teaching the IB at ACS for over fifty years, and our experience means we know how best to teach it.

We know it gets results - and that's why we offer the IB as our sole offering, orienting the entire school around its optimal delivery.

Many of our teachers are IB examiners, meaning they know exactly how to help children to excel.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 for supporting and teaching & learning in a school or equivalent
  • Experience of and aptitude for working with children of the relevant ages

  • Effective communication skills

Principal accountabilities:

  • Support the Teacher/Librarian

  • Guide students to appreciate and accept themselves and others to help them to function effectively in group situations and to promote selfconfidence and security
  • School philosophy, policy and procedures
  • Implement school philosophy, policies and procedures, interacting positively and respectfully with parents, teachers, staff and administration, to ensure students receive a world class education at ACS
  • Keepuptodate and reflect
  • Keep uptodate with current trends and reflect on own performance in the classroom and own impact on student learning in order to continue to grow and develop skills
  • Carry out reasonable additional duties as required, fulfilling the needs of the school
