Who we are looking for?


SupplyGo Education is looking for people who are experienced in supporting children and young people from all walks of life.

Most importantly you must have a passion to make a difference in the lives of people who are vulnerable and have additional needs.


About the role;

In this role, you will work with children and young adults that have special needs from the age of 5 to 22 in a specialist residential environment.

You will be part of every aspect of their daily life. The idea is to assist children and young adults to help them become more independent. You will help them get ready in the morning and organise their daily lives.

If they are of classroom age and ability you will go into class with them on a 1:1 basis alongside other support workers to offer emotional support.

In class, there will also be teaching assistants and teachers.

The children and young adults also take part in vocational activities like forest school and lots of homes have on-site farms and lots of other great facilities all focused on giving the young people in your care the best life possible and inspiring learning and creating a fun and positive atmosphere.


This role would be well suited for people who are looking to do a job that is very rewarding yet challenging at the same time and who wants to work somewhere no two days are the same.


It is of the utmost importance to realise that this role is about being empathetic towards the needs of the young people in your care.

You must have lots of patients and resilience within this role as it is demanding. You must be driven by a passion to make a difference in the world.

Training
The great news is that everyone regardless of level will take part in a three-week training programme.

Week one will be about gaining new relevant in-house qualifications like, fire safety, health and safety, first aid etc.


Within the first week you will also be taught how to complete care plans learn about the company's systems and learn about expectations and what to expect during each shift pattern.


The next two weeks are all about you working alongside an experienced team that you will shadow and who will teach you how to implement all your training on the job.


Another great thing is that during weeks two and three you will get the opportunity to speak with senior staff members on a regular basis to keep track of your progress and help you succeed in your new role.


You will of cors have regular refresher training to ensure that you are well-equipped with the most up-to-date skills to do your job at the highest level.


Qualifications:

Having relevant qualifications would certainly be a bonus but not essential.

We need hard workers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young adults that have special needs locally In your area.


You will be able to gain a whole host of qualifications whilst you do the job through the children's residential home and also through us.
