Commercial Insight Assistant

Reporting of the Role
This role reports to Commercial Insight Manager

Overview of job:

The role of Commercial Insight Assistant is to provide insight support to the insight team. This involved working closely with all members of the insight team, assisting on a variety of projects.


The Commercial Insight Assistant is also responsible for the day to day management of through Toluna, from prioritising & scheduling to ensuring best practice is followed on the system.

Measures of success -

In the first few months, you would have:

  • Understand the Global portfolio
  • Develop knowledge of all proprietary research systems
  • Develop skills in running research on Toluna system
  • Build working relationships with the Insight team

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Responsible for day to day management of Toluna system scheduling and prioritising workloads, ensuring adherence to panel best practice guidelines and being the quality controller of all projects that run via the system.
  • Running omnibus surveys on the Toluna system from identifying relevant topics & writing surveys through to analysing and creation of sales stories, and presenting & promoting findings back to the business
  • Assisting other members of the Insight team on projects & the analysis of data , RAJAR, industry data etc) and ensuring results are delivered in a professional and creative format
  • Providing support to the Commercial Teams on ad hoc sales pitches and projects by performing the more complex analysis on the industry databases when required.
  • Writing insight presentations, case study onepagers etc from & industry data (panel, RAJAR, proprietary data sources etc) for use by the Commercial teams, ensuring that results/information are delivered in a professional and creative format that brings the findings to life
  • Helping develop, populate and maintain the Commercial Marketing Hub with case studies, audience and product information and help promote our work to relevant teams around the business
  • Keeping up to date on industry and societal trends, stories and events in the marketplace and disseminate these to the Insight and Commercial Teams

What you will need:

  • Strong project manager, with an organised and methodical approach to tasks
  • Have an engaged, inquisitive and openminded approach to research and analysis
  • Have the ability to analyse research and present findings in an insightful & compelling way
  • Have the ability to build rapport amongst internal partners
  • To be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, to internal clients within Global an eye for detail is key
  • To be selfmotivated and capable of using initiative, with the ability to manage simultaneous projects
