MONDAY - FRIDAY: 06.00 STARTS & 18.00 STARTS

£17.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are looking for a Class 2 Driver for our client based in Swindon.

Day to Day Duties

  • Driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently to different shops to deliver goods
  • The shops could be in a town centre, airports, outlets etc.
  • Must be a careful and diligent driver as you will need to operate a tail lift whist at work
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, mileage, and fuel consumption
  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
  • Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills

  • Must hold a valid UK Category C Driving Licence for at least one year
  • No more than 6 points on Driving Licence for minor infringements and no major endorsements
  • Have a valid CPC Card and Digi Card
  • Punctuality and good time-keeping skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work overtime as and when required
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Responsible and confident driver

Desirable Experience

Experience in a similar role working with tail lift trucks would be beneficial
