Our client, a rapidly expanding and renowned accountancy firm, is dedicated to offering top-notch accounting and advisory services to its clientele. In the midst of an exciting growth phase, they are on the lookout for a proactive and outcome-oriented Cloud Bookkeeper to join their team.

Your main focus will revolve around delivering bookkeeping services to clients and transitioning both new and existing clients to the Cloud. This position plays a critical role within the Cloud team by ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of VAT returns, as well as providing clients with essential management figures to aid their decision-making processes.

This opportunity will allow you to leverage your expertise and skills to meet deadlines effectively and provide valuable services to our clients. You will be tasked with handling confidential data with utmost care and offering clients the necessary support to make informed choices for their businesses.

An integral aspect of the role involves fostering strong client relationships, gaining insight into their operations, and proposing strategies for enhancing efficiency within their finance departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the team's workflow and effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Review the team's bookkeeping work to enhance efficiency and accuracy, particularly concerning accounts and VAT, while identifying areas for improvement and conducting necessary training.
  • Conduct initial bookkeeping processes using cloud-based tools and automation, ensuring new clients are onboarded with proper systems for efficient delegation.
  • Resolve historical bookkeeping issues on an as-needed basis.
  • Provide bookkeeping training and support to clients on various software platforms such as Xero and Dext, both in-person and online.
  • Assist in transitioning clients to Xero from other systems and advise on optimal setup using relevant applications.
  • Promptly address internal and client queries.
