Mechanical Contracts Manager

My client is a leading construction company with an impressive portfolio of multi-million-pound projects in Northampton and the surrounding areas.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join our team.

As the Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the successful execution of mechanical contracts on our multi-million-pound projects.

Your operational and commercial expertise will be essential in driving project success and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the industry.

Lead and manage mechanical contracts on multi-million-pound projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.


  • Collaborate with project teams to plan and coordinate mechanical works, ensuring compliance with project schedules and budgets.
  • Oversee the procurement of mechanical equipment and materials, negotiating favorable terms with suppliers while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential risks and challenges, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with the commercial department to review project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports, ensuring projects meet commercial objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project teams, resolving technical issues to ensure the smooth execution of mechanical works.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager with a track record of successfully delivering multi-million-pound projects is essential.

  • A strong background in mechanical engineering with a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated operational and commercial acumen with the ability to manage projects within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating and guiding project teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges in the project execution process.
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field are highly desirable #J-18808-Ljbffr
