Wood Process & Energy are recruiting for a Senior Planner to support a project with Centrica Storage Limited (CSL) based at the Easington Terminal in Hull, UK.

We recognise the value of hybrid working, so this role would require you to be based at site approx 3 days per week, with 2 days working from home.
The Role
You will prepare, review and report accurate project schedules and plans in support of the robust control of projects throughout their lifecycle.
Prepare and submit project schedules and plans, ensuring schedules and plans are prepared to the required level of detail and accuracy in accordance with contractual requirements and Wood policies, procedures, and standards.
As a Senior Planner, you would support the management and development of the Planning team, the management of project schedules and plans, and the preparation and filing of project planning documentation acting as the focal point for several project scopes.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain planning control structures are developed and maintained in alignment with approved project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Develop and maintain baseline project plans and schedules using appropriate scheduling software
- Monitor and control planning activities through all phases of project lifecycle
- Liaise with engineering, procurement and construction functions, and others as required, including third parties, to maintain awareness of project activities, their status, and their impact on the project schedule and manpower requirements
- Prepare and provide copies of project plans and schedules in accordance with project reporting requirements

- Produce and issue updates to project plans and schedules

- Assess and communicate schedule impact of change notifications
- Monitor overall project progress status, achievement of major milestones, and evaluate project performance in relation to planned performance
- Attend internal project progress and performance status meetings as required
- Liaise with cost discipline to ensure accurate and timely control and forecasting of manhour budgets and ensure that the impact of all change requests are properly assessed and included in the schedules
- Participate in schedule risk analysis as required
- Participate in Project Controls Compliance and Continuous Improvement Reviews
- Assist and support in the mentoring of junior Planning personnel
Skills / Qualifications:
- Typically requires ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience)
Knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Incumbents will typically have a minimum 4 years relevant scheduling/planning experience
- Proficient knowledge of Primavera and other scheduling software and related tools and techniques including Logic and CPM analysis, resource loading and levelling
- Proficient knowledge of Project Execution Procedures for Scheduling
- Proficient understanding of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities
- Ability to develop project schedules and plans
- Ability to prepare resource loading, progress and staffing plans
- Detailed understanding of project management principles and techniques
- Good understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management
