Architectual Technician

Job DescriptionWorking in a hybrid style, based at home and Dundee House, you will work full time, 37 hours per week. If you have any queries regarding this vacancy, please contact Ron Mitcham on or email Requirements​You will have minimum HNC in Building/ Architectural Technology or equivalent.ResponsibilitiesYou will assist in providing a complete range of architectural services to the council and its service departments and to external public agencies, as directed by the Architectural Services Manager. You will represent the Architectural Services Manager on construction projects and maintenance projects emanating from the Division and to ensure compliance with professional standards and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations as appropriate.The IndividualYou will have experience as an Architectural Technician and sound and extensive knowledge of building construction techniques and detailing. You will be familiar with contract law and contract conditions, have competent AutoCAD skills and knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, including CDM. You will have effective time management skills to achieve project objectives, good negotiating skills and working knowledge of Microsoft packages e.g. Office 365, Microsoft Word and Excel. You will be able to undertake site visits and surveys, including working at height, in confined spaces.
