Our integrated pulp and paperboard mill is located to the west of the beautiful Lake District in the north of England.


Your future challenge:

**Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Accounting Controller will ensure:
-**:

  • Internal reporting is accurate, compliant and to timetable.
  • Suitable controls operate to protect company assets.
  • External reporting complies with required standards and meets timescales.
  • Carry out VAT reporting and Fixed cost analysis
  • Contribute to Statutory Financial reporting.
  • Maintain effective internal control procedures.
  • Liaising with internal and external financial auditors.
  • Be aware of and compliant with Holmen Finance policy and Finance guidelines.

The successful Accounting Controller will possess:

  • Professional Accountancy qualification
  • ICAEW, ACCA or equivalent.
  • Excellent knowledge of Company Law, Tax and Accounting rules.
  • Excellent knowledge of production process and financial controls.
In addition to the above, the following is desirable:

  • Good knowledge of the company's IT systems.
  • Proven commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Experience in both working environment and Health and Safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
