DWP Private Office serves as the vital connection between Ministers and the larger Department, actively shaping policy development and executing Ministerial priorities. Responsibilities:
  • Proactively managing House of Commons and House of Lords Parliamentary Questions (PQs) while ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols
  • Overseeing the drafting, submission, and dispatch of all PQs to Parliament
  • Collaborating with various Government Departments and Parliamentary entities on the transfer of PQs
  • Enhancing customer service through productive relationships and effective allocation of PQs
  • Monitoring and improving PQ performance using UK Parliament systems
  • Efficiently processing documents for House libraries and offering guidance to Department colleagues
  • Assisting with various Parliamentary tasks as needed
