Job Description
This Vet role at APHA involves:
- Conducting disease investigations in farm animals and wildlife including post-mortems and diagnostic sampling
- Obtaining history for disease surveillance
- Using laboratory testing for diagnosis
- Collating and discussing findings with clients
- Providing disease control advice
- Investigating new diseases and potential threats
- Engaging with industry stakeholders
- Conducting surveillance for notifiable diseases
Person Specification
- Knowledge of UK farming industry
- Interest in diagnostic pathology
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to produce veterinary reports
- Quality assurance for scientific evidence

Licences & Qualifications
Valid UK Driving Licence and a degree in Veterinary Medicine recognized in the UK. Proficiency in English is required.
