Job Summary:

The selected candidate will help coordinate clinical placements for medical students at Furness General Hospital, ensuring the delivery of the Undergraduate curricula, maintaining records, and actively supporting students' well-being. Additionally, they will be involved in organizing student exams, attending meetings with partner medical schools, and contributing to the overall improvement of medical education within the Trust.

Main Duties of the Job:

  • Manage medical learners' rotational timetables to meet curriculum requirements while considering departmental pressures.
  • Respond to feedback from learners and educators to enhance education delivery.
  • Collaborate with various teams before, during, and after placements to ensure effective communication and preparation.
  • Lead Trust and specialty-based inductions for learners.
  • Support the evaluation process for medical education improvement.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating student exams.
  • Maintain student attendance records and address any concerns with medical school partners.
  • Attend meetings to enhance student placements standards.
