Responsible for supporting the delivery of excellent customer and business value by leading the full life cycle of procurement, from category strategy development and sourcing through operations, including supplier risk and ESG/CSR commitments.
Develop an annual procurement plan, outlining all sourcing and supplier management activities.
Lead and enhance all procurement processes with a focus on data accuracy, insight, and commercial excellence.
Manage and implement improvements to derive value from suppliers, including cost reduction, quality enhancements, and service improvements.
Lead the ongoing development of category strategies, showcasing market and supplier insights and a high degree of commercial acumen.
Provide leadership insight and guidance for sourcing and supplier management activities, including leading critical negotiations and supplier discussions.
Ensure effective and efficient procurement operations, continually improving forecasting and delivery accuracy.
Lead Trafalgar's supplier risk processes, managing supplier risk assessment and audits to improve our sustainability performance.
Participate in Sales and Operations Planning meetings, offering accurate updates, forecasting, and suggesting ongoing improvements to the process.
Develop the procurement skills of the team through coaching and setting examples.
Foster a culture that prioritises the customer at the center of all procurement activities
Skills
Develop and implement supply chain strategies and processes that are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
Manage and optimise procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
