Responsibilitiesn

• Exercise the highest degree of discretion and professionalism, when dealing with sensitive data and informationn
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processesn
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and servicesn
• Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvementsn
• Analyze data and generate reports to track procurement performance and identify areas for improvementn
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsn
• Raise and maintain purchase orders for direct and indirect materials to support production requirementsn
• Provide forecasts and schedules to suppliers where appropriate to maintain ongoing supply in line with customer demandsn
• Actively manage and report supplier on time delivery performance – fully utilising typical Orderbook management protocols to ensure material availabilityn
• Actively manage an open orderbook to control expenditure in line with customer demand and to support business cashflown
• Liaise with Logistics and Accounts teams to manage Goods-In discrepancies to an effective conclusionn
• Monitor material receipts in line with schedules to help minimize Goods-In transaction errorsn
• Expedite material shortages as required to meet urgent business needsn
• Manage inventory levels, seeking opportunities to reduce inventory wherever practicablen
• Negotiate pricing and contractual terms with suppliers for new and existing materials and services to drive cost reduction opportunitiesn
• Identify and select new suppliers for materials as and when requiredn
• Manage positive supplier partnership-based relationshipsn
• Focusing on "best practice", strive for and drive measurable process improvement opportunities

Qualificationsn

• 'A' level qualification or equivalentn
• CIPS qualified, or working towardn
• Degree educated (Desirable)

Experiencen· Minimum 1-3 years' proven experience in a similar role and environmentn· Aptitude for figures and experience with managing a budgetn· Experience of developing and implementing Purchasing processes and procedures which drive improvements in material availability and inventory levelsn· Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practicesn· Proficiency in the application of ERP / MRP systemsn· Excellent negotiation and communication skillsn· Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
