What is Lush Music?

You would be hard pushed to pick up a Lush product that hadn't been inspired in some part by music.

You could say that music is one of their essential ingredients.

Interacting and working alongside musicians rather than just listening to them started with our Spa treatments.

Music was to play an important role and become a central part of the therapy, creating the perfect soundtrack to massages, scrubs and soaks.

All of Lush's Spa treatments have bespoke soundtracks created by the ever expanding community of musicians who have become part of the Lush family.

The placement
This placement will support Lush Music, supporting projects such as new Lush music releases. The work is varied and requires a blend of a passion for music, alongside a keen eye for detail.

We are looking for an individual who is interested in music, or developing their knowledge in the music industry and is passionate about administrative work.

The work will include tasks such as (coordinating incoming music requests from across the business, artist communications, file management support on project development and launches).

You will work alongside our Music Expert representing our musical side of the business, helping to facilitate the smooth running of projects when needed.

If successful for the placement this will be in addition to your current role, but any hours spent on Lush Music will be recharged and will not come out of your current team's budget.

There will also be an online training afternoon to help deepen your knowledge of Lush Music.

Key Responsibilities:

• Admin work: Supporting with administrative work where needed, such as organising files, and collecting data.
• Music management: building relationships with agents, musicians, and music stakeholders.
• Supporting curating and updating streaming playlists
• Talent booking: supporting our Lush events and collabs with booking talent and overseeing the project
• Creative opportunities: supporting headhunting for collabs with artists and ideation for release activations
• Project work: with this placement there may be opportunities to be brought in for longer periods of time to work on bigger projects.
• Development: through this placement you will be able to learn more about the music industry and how Lush interacts with it. You will develop your understanding of music publishing, record label work and royalties, as well as music specific product launches and the importance of music for a brand

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

• Passion and interest in music, modern music labels with a love of administration
• Strong attention to detail
• Outgoing and friendly, with a positive, cando attitude
• Adaptable to new situations and spaces
• A true people person with experience in dealing with a variety of people in a busy and fastmoving environment
• Proactive and shows initiative
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of music industry and royalties is ideal, but not necessary
