Temp to Perm (Permanent for right candidate)Are you a skilled welder/fabricator looking for your next challenge? Igloo is seeking a dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our client's team in Shrewsbury.

This role offers the chance to work with a variety of materials and techniques in a supportive and dynamic environment.


What you'll be doing:

  • Utilise MIG and TIG welding techniques to weld various materials, such as aluminium and steel.
  • Form sections and panels through the use of press brakes.
  • Assist in the final assembly of new bodies to vehicle chassis.
  • Perform repairs on existing vehicle bodies and structures.
  • Assist in the fitting of repaired vehicle components, including tipping gears and hydraulic equipment.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in line with Health and Safety legislation.

What we need from you:

  • Skilled welder, with a proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
  • An appropriate welding qualification would be beneficial.
  • The right attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Experience using press brake machinery.
  • Ability to produce precise results by accurately interpreting diagrams and drawings.
  • Previous fabrication experience essential.
  • Excellent health and safety awareness.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Good time management skills.
